A very HAPPY EASTER to you all.
During this dreadful time, I hope you’re feeling well, and you are able relax and enjoy this holiday period, whether with your family or in self-isolation. Let’s pray for those who are currently suffering this terrible disease, and continue to support and celebrate the tremendous work undertaken by our health workers around the world.
If you are a regular reader, you’ll know my love for highlighting master classes, and I recently came across these interesting sessions on YouTube given by French-Cypriot pianist Cyprien Katsaris. Filmed in March 2006 at Liszt’s house in Weimar, Germany, they feature several young pianists playing a selection of works by Mozart, Beethoven, and Scriabin. I hope you find them engaging and inspiring. And I’ve also linked my interview with Cyprien, which was filmed as part of my Classical Conversations Series on March 24th 2013, held at the French Institute in London.

For much more information about how to practice piano repertoire, take a look at my piano course, Play it again: PIANO (published by Schott Music). Covering a huge array of styles and genres, the course features a large collection of progressive, graded piano repertoire from approximately Grade 1 to advanced diploma level, with copious practice tips for every piece. A convenient and beneficial course for students of any age, with or without a teacher, and it can also be used alongside piano examination syllabuses too.
You can find out more about my other piano publications and compositions here.
